NEW SOUTH WALES’ PREMIER HERITAGE FAIR

11TH FEBRUARY-13TH FEBRUARY 2011

Calculating days to go

What's in it for you?

How many people have never been to a Steam Fair? You are probably wondering, "What's in it for me?" You may think that Steam Fairs are just for steam enthusiasts. Well this is definitely not the case; Steam Fairs are for everyone.

Steam Fairs are just the thing for families and kids alike.

What greater reward is a day or two taking in the spectacular vistas of the Oberon countryside?  What greater pleasure is there than wandering the Highlands Steam & Vintage Fair’s rally ground amongst the exhibits, breathing in the atmosphere, the sights and sounds?

What greater pleasure would there be in entering your treasured piece of machinery, driving it or demonstrating its use and chatting to a multitude of interested spectators and fellow enthusiasts?

Come up to Oberon and join in the fun.  Oberon is in the glorious Central Tablelands just over the Blue Mountains from Sydney.  Just find us on the map, head in that direction and follow the crowd!

We began in a very small way and are growing our fair rapidly.  The Highlands Steam & Vintage Fair is growing in reputation as an event for enthusiasts and visitors alike that showcases how people lived and worked in years past.  If it’s heritage, you’ll find it at the fair.  The Highlands Steam & Vintage Fair is a look back in time.

Be amazed by the variety of exhibitions, demonstrations of their use by proud exhibitors or just talk to those enthusiasts about their equipment.  Because the Fair is growing year by year there is always something new to be seen.

Vintage, veteran and classic cars, hot rods, trucks, military vehicles, tractors, stationary engines, motorcycles, vintage farm machinery and small collectibles all find a place in the Fair.

See the cavalcade of vehicles in the Grand Rally through Oberon Central Business District.  Witness the instant transformation of a quaint country town back to the good old days when we were all kids and times were good.  Get lost in time if only for a short period.

Take a walk in the farmers markets precinct, where you can purchase that special little piece of the country whether it be jam and honey or that special object made in the old fashioned way by country craftsman.

So what’s in it for you? Simply step back into history and witness some of the charming equipment at work or purchase that little bit of country charm.  Just step back and enjoy Oberon’s simple pleasures.

That’s what’s in it for you!
