Hunter Valley Vintage Farm Machinery Club reviews the Fair
The first review of the 2010 Highlands Steam & Vintage Fair has come in from the Hunter Valley Vintage Farm Machinery Club.
"The Oberon rally was held over the weekend 20th and 21st and was a very good rally. Plenty of restored cars, trucks, tractors, farm machinery, army equipment and quite a good display of old engines not to mention the two portable steam engines and the four steam traction engines.
The camping area was good with all facilities and the Oberon Leagues club looked after us bit too good.
The only contentious issue was the five dollars administration fee which we all object to however to their credit the money was well spent in providing good facilities plus an extra ticket for a partner, free access to the local rail museum and free bus travel to other venues in town; also a rally badge.
All in all a very good rally and well worth attending next year. From our club we had Cam Grundy, Bob Bright and Russell Bright.
Regards,
Russell Bright"
