Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How many people are admitted on a family ticket.
A. Two adults and two children each aged under 15 years.
Q. Do concession rates apply?
A. Yes, but a person seeking a concession must produce a Seniors, Health Care or Student card.
Q. Are there any concession for disabled people?
A. Concessions apply as in the previous answer. However if a person is wheel chair bound and requires a carer, then that carer will be admitted free.
Q. Are there concessions for Friday or Sunday?
A. No, our tickets are three-day passes. Provided you show your ticket at the entry point(s) you will be admitted on each presentation of that ticket.
Q. Are credit card facilities available at the entrance gates for admission payments?
A. No, we only accept cash for admission tickets at the gate.
Q. Are dogs allowed on the rally grounds?
A. Yes, but they must be on a leash at all times. There are no exceptions.
Q. Are barbeques allowed?
A. Unfortunately, due to health and safety restrictions, we do not allow barbeques of any kind except for the gas powered type.
Q. Are campfires allowed?
A. No.
Q. Is the ground uneven?
A. No. This year we have a new venue and it is quite even.
Q. What facilities are available at the rally ground?
A. Because we are at a new venue this year, facilities include showers, toilets and water. A licensed club is located on the rally grounds. Police and ambulance are close by via a triple 000 phone call.
Q. Can you sleep in a car or camp on site?
A. No. There is limited camping available for exhibitors and traders only. All other patrons are advised to seek accommodation in town. Refer to our accommodation page for details.
Q. Is there any local transport to the rally ground?
A. No, the rally ground is a short walk from the centre of town. However there will be a Summer Festival shuttle bus operating between the various attractions during the day, and this transport can be utilised.
Q. What time are the gates open?
A. Generally from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM daily, but exhibitors will be setting up on Friday morning, so a later entry time is advisable. Likewise on Sunday, the Fair will wind down from about 2.00 PM.
Q. Is there a “Hop on and off” shuttle bus around town?
A. Yes. Our Fair entry ticket is also the exclusive ticket to ride on the Summer Festival bus.
